We propose a space in a laboratory format where, through experimentation, listening and respect for one’s own body and that of others, new forms of expression can be found, both personal and collective. We recognize dance as a very powerful tool to connect with ourselves and with the rest and we conceive this from a place free of judgment and where each person can express and experience freely from their own experience.
We will work with improvisation tools, play, individual and group listening and stage creation guidelines. Also with technical elements such as experimentation with weights, inertia, perception of space, recognition of one’s own body.
Project supported by the Generalitat/Department of Culture and the Barcelona City Council/ICUB.

El Desvío is a collective that was born in Barcelona, formed by Sílvia Cepero, Iris Claramunt and Claudia Auzinger where they develop projects around dance and investigate how this can be a tool for reflection, analysis and denunciation. As its name suggests, El Desvío is born from a turn in the lives of its members, two of them from Barcelona and one from Vienna, who decide to deviate from their professional paths and dive fully into dance and creation As performers and creators, they carry out, both individually and collectively, their own creations and combine this with research and teaching projects.
