I experience the dance space as a place of encounter: a sensitive territory that invites us to reconnect with a global body—open, expansive, and available to constant change. A space to go inward, take risks, and cross new boundaries, opening the door to new dimensions and to the vast possibilities of movement.
We will work with materials that accompany us in the search for texture, weight, volume, and form, expanding the pathways of gesture. The material becomes an extension of the body, but also a living stimulus that activates gesture and awakens human expression. Through contact with matter, the body is transformed: physicality is refined, presence is enriched, and new ways of moving unfold—more diverse, unexpected, and organic.
The material amplifies, transforms, and suggests, generating new relationships with space and with others through contact, tension, support, and shared play. Thus, dance also becomes a dialogue with matter, a space where the body listens, responds, and allows itself to be affected.
My methodology intertwines improvisation, exploration, and choreographic phrases so that the body can unfold and listen to its own voice, always in transformation.
This proposal moves slightly away from regular classes, opening a space of research and discovery where process, perception, and the relationship with material take a central place. With the desire to grow the individual voice through movement and share it, allowing it to resonate with others.

Gisela Creus is a dancer, educator, and choreographer with international projection and an interdisciplinary approach. She currently lives in Barcelona, where she co-directs nunart, PROJECTem, and the Sincronies Escoles Project, while combining her artistic career with teaching at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona (IAB) in Sitges, nunart, and L’Estruch.
She graduated with honors in Dance Theatre from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London and continues her training with international artists.
As a performer and creator, she has presented more than ten professional works and was awarded the RISCA Fellowship Award in Choreography for the solo The Quiet A (2018). She has created pieces such as Cosmos, Travessia Còsmica, and Magenta, presented at nunart, Teatre de L’Estruch, and the 15m2 Festival.
Her trajectory reflects a complete dedication to dance in its various dimensions: creation, teaching, and cultural management. Through nunArt, she develops projects that foster encounters between artists and community, conceives dance as a powerful means of expression, and promotes collective creation, generating open and accessible spaces for interdisciplinary exchange.
