This is an invitation to dance.
This will be a space for encounter, to explore, experiment, and rehearse.
This shared moment, through improvisation and somatic attention work, will question specific proprioceptive aspects, while allowing imagination and perception to become dance.
Led by
Laura Vilar. Dancer, educator, creator, and researcher, currently based in Vienna. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with a dissertation in Artistic Research through dance. She is part of the teaching staff of the Master’s in Artistic Research and Design at EINA-UAB, as well as the Bachelor’s in Design at the same university.
She is a lecturer at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and co-directs nunart, a centre for research and experimentation through and from dance.
In Austria, she collaborates and is an artist in residence at Im_flieger, a centre for research in performative arts, where she served as artistic director of the programme Schule@im_flieger 2024 and develops the residency exchange programme Changing Spaces Vienna–Barcelona.
She collaborates with 2DA en Papel, a dance-focused publishing house, as curator and editor.
