Trainings with Carmela Muñoz

A danced practice/a dance session/a space for listening and reflection around the training of a body.

To train and understand the body and all the materials it contains and that accompany us in the act of dancing. To strengthen its possibilities and potential, opening a sensitive knowledge and a deep listening around attention, perception, experimentation, and our disposition toward dance.

The practice unfolds as a physical training of the body around three axes that intertwine throughout:

The objective (or the closest possible to an objectivity). Physical parameters concerning the body, space, and rhythm that help us relate and provide us with tools to move through different dynamics, tones, textures, structures, and directions of the body.

The subjective. To reveal the deep layers and sensitive knowledge contained in the body through listening and perception.

The other. Work around that which is also happening but cannot be named: the invisible, failure.
