El Desvío’s training sessions are a space for artistic research aimed at dance professionals and anyone interested in deepening both their physical practice and their creative process.
Each session begins with physical training designed to awaken availability, presence, and the capacity for action. From there, we explore tools that are part of the company’s working methodology: guided improvisation, imaginative work, and instant composition based on repertoire.
We are interested in understanding the body not only as a technical instrument but also as a space for thought. Our research emerges from questions rooted in the contemporary social and political context, which are translated into movement to create our own distinctive performative language.
Throughout the training sessions, we will share materials, exercises, and methodologies drawn from the creative processes behind our works, transforming the training space into a laboratory where the body, imagination, and composition are in constant dialogue.

Sílvia Cepero, Iris Claramunt, and Claudia Auzinger make up El Desvío, an interdisciplinary collective that brings together diverse backgrounds and perspectives to create stage works with a strong visual, conceptual, and socially transformative dimension.
The company is currently developing its new creation, ALIEN, as part of the ALIANSAT 25/26 programme at SAT! Teatre, where it will premiere in November 2026. The project is supported by several creation centres, including Fabra i Coats, l’Obrador, La Cremallera, Teatre Nu, Centre Cívic El Sortidor, and Laboratori Tísner.
Their first work, La (des)espera, was co-produced by Dansa Metropolitana and premiered as part of the festival in 2024. Since then, it has been presented at SAT! Teatre, l’Antic Teatre, L’Estruch, La Casa Elizalde, and as part of the Barcelona Districte Cultural programme (Spring 2026). It has also been featured in the Dança Invisível Festival (Portugal) and will soon be presented at Sala Exlímite in Madrid.
