Gaga | Dancers & Methodica
Maya Simhon is a dancer, choreographer, and Gaga movement teacher based in Barcelona. She began her journey at the Batsheva Ensemble, where she trained in the Gaga movement language under Ohad Naharin.
She later joined Shahar Binyamini’s work as a dancer, and over time grew into his rehearsal director, assistant, and eventually stager of his repertoire. Alongside this, Maya creates and choreographs her own original works. She teaches Gaga classes and workshops across Europe and internationally, guiding dancers to discover their own physical and creative voice.
She also works as a coach for dancers, supporting them in building confident, self-directed careers in the field. Her approach blends technique with freedom, curiosity, presence, and a deep trust in the body’s own intelligence.
