Josefina Colli is an Argentine artist based in Barcelona with a solid background in Fine Arts, performing arts, and photography. She holds a degree in Visual Arts with a specialization in printmaking and painting (Bahía Blanca, Argentina). She later continued her training at the Flic circus school in Turin, specializing in Cyr Wheel, and at Area Dansa Barcelona, focusing on contemporary dance. She is also certified as a Franklin Method Educator.
In recent years, she has participated in projects such as CRECE, a contemporary circus creation process led by the Carampa Circus School (Madrid, Spain, 2021); Confesio, directed by Marcel Leemann and Nicolas Streit (Bern, Switzerland, 2022). In 2023, she presented Poética Salvaje at the Circus Dance Festival in Cologne, Germany, and was pre-selected for Circus Next. She has also done residencies at La Central del Circ, Roca Umbert, CECO Guatemala, and Centre Cívic Sant Martí, continuing her process of research and creation.
In addition to her stage work, Josefina specializes in circus and dance photography, capturing the strength, expressiveness, and sensitivity of movement. Her attention to detail and artistic background allow her to create images that convey the essence of each artist and their physical language.
Her work blends circus and contemporary dance, emphasizing improvisation and cyclical movement patterns in relation to breath and gravity. She is currently developing Sola y Agua Salada, exploring the connection between the body, solitude, and nature.
