residencies

The residencies at nunart aim to support and enhance the creative process across any artistic discipline. The different formats we offer seek to meet as fully as possible the diverse needs of potential artists and are carried out in the main hall.

Support for collaborative and sustainable research and creation

residencias - 1 - nunart

At nunart, we are committed to process-oriented spaces that prioritize artistic research over the production of specific pieces or formats. We select three projects to provide personalized support throughout the season, combining space, time, and activities that enrich the research and create shared spaces with the community.

International residencies
Changing Spaces / Viena – Barcelona

residències - 4 - nunart

Changing Spaces is a bilateral artist-in-residence exchange program focused on contemporary dance and performance, fostering artistic research, production, and mobility. Created by Im_flieger Vienna in 2010, the program promotes shared use of resources and intensive exchange with local contexts during residencies lasting 2 to 4 weeks.

Since 2023, Im_flieger and nunart have collaborated to connect Vienna and Barcelona, generating a rich dialogue of artistic and human knowledge. Im_flieger is a research and development center supporting innovative artistic formats and theoretical and practical exchange around art, body, and politics, working within local and international networks.

Recognized for its innovation, Im_flieger has received awards and funding from cultural institutions in Vienna and Europe.

In 2025, we offer a specific residency for artistic research, supporting people engaged in master’s, doctoral studies, or practical and discursive projects focused on artistic practice and the development of textual content.
